Contractors Hackathon Participation Agreement:
- Participation is open to anyone over the age of 18 who is able and willing to travel to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to participate in the event.
- Submissions will be evaluated by a panel of judges who will select the winners according to the project submission requirements.
- This agreement ("Agreement") is a contract between you ("You" or "Participant") and the organizers ("We" or "Us") concerning the Contractors Hackathon, which will be held from December 24, 2024, to December 28, 2024, in Riyadh. You must read and accept all the terms and conditions in this Agreement as a condition of participating in the hackathon. Your registration or participation in the hackathon constitutes your acceptance of all terms and conditions in this Agreement.
- Event Description: The hackathon is a competition among individuals or teams who may compete to create one or more applications or software platforms ("Prototype"). For purposes of this Agreement, "Hackathon Entity" refers to the organizers, any official sponsors of the hackathon, and any parties or entities involved in the design, production, organization, implementation, or promotion of the hackathon. Your "Submission" refers to one or more prototypes and any other information or materials you or your team submit concerning the hackathon.
- How to Participate: Eligible participants may participate as a team. The total number of team members must not exceed 5, and all members must attend in person in Riyadh.
- Teams: If you participate in the hackathon as a member of a team, you understand and agree that for the team to qualify, all team members must meet the eligibility criteria outlined in this Agreement. Additionally, if your team is selected to win a prize, the prize will be distributed fairly among all team members. If any team member fails to comply with this Agreement, the entire team may be disqualified. Each team is fully responsible for its cooperation and teamwork. We will not intervene in any disputes between or among team members regarding conduct, participation, cooperation, or contributions.
- Privacy and Consent: The organizers will collect information from you for participation in the hackathon and may attempt to contact you. Any information you provide will be collected and used according to our privacy policy. However, you agree that the organizers may, without limitation or additional compensation, use your name, voice, or likeness in any media for purposes of advertising and promoting the hackathon. Additionally, you agree that the organizers may showcase the functionality of your prototype (but may not alter or publish the source code) concerning advertising the hackathon and any subsequent hackathons they organize.
- Official Rules: In addition to this Agreement, all participants will be required to agree to the official rules of the event upon RSVP. If a participant fails to confirm attendance and agree to the official rules, they will be unable to attend the hackathon in person.
